about Me
Hi there. My name is David Barton, and I'm the engineer behind Flex Product Design. I develop new products and technologies for clients in a variety of industries, and I can bring on additional resources as required to support bigger projects. My primary focus is always delivering quality results at a competitive price and exceeding clients' expectations.

Although I started my career as a mechanical engineer, my master's degree in electrical engineering and interest in systems modeling and software development allows me to contribute broadly to most projects. I've developed data processing applications in Python, WiFi-connected Windows applications in C# and dynamic system models in Mathematica. I've prototyped a variety of custom electronics and commonly write firmware to prototype embedded systems. As each project brings its unique challenges, I enjoy pitching in wherever I can help the most.

I've used SolidWorks since 2004 and have designed parts and assemblies for one-off prototypes through high-volume production. I also enjoy thermal and structural analysis, and am comfortable with several CFD/FEA packages.
